This early 20th century chic pair of Italian metal half moon design console tables with marble top are very interesting with their whismical animalier patterns, extremely detailed and well proportioned.

The X-shaped stretcher structure is made of wrought iron, three casted bronze griffin decorations are sculpted in the round, resting on tubular legs ending with paw feet.
The apron of the two consoles is embellished with a Greek key band in copper. The top is made of greenish-black marble slabs.
Eye catching and whismical pieces of furniture with breathtaking decoration. Ancient Greece patterns and fantastic animals sculptures - very popular during the neoclassical period and replicated in Art Nouveau and Art Deco - combine perfectly on the wrought iron structure with X-shaped stretcher centered by rosettes.
The colors' palette ranging from burnished bronze to dark gray and greenish is summed up in the marble with a characteristic greenish black color.
Thanks to their scale and wonderful proportions, these half moon tables will furnish both an entrance and a nice living room or parlor with plenty of charm, wonderful also inserted even in the most modern and contemporary design project they can also serve as a centre table!!
